The all-new Kia Sorento ‘Highline Cruiser’ SUV has been awarded a 5-Star safety rating (the maximum score) in the latest Euro NCAP crash test results published today. The Sorento’s safety ratings – with scores of 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 84% for Child Protection and 71% for Safety Assist equipment – place the Kia among the safest mid-sized SUV cars
The New Maserati GranCabrio
The Maserati GranCabrio, the first four-seater convertible in the Trident carmakers history, will make its world wide debut on September 15 at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The introduction of the GranCabrio – the Tridents third prong – completes Maseratis product line-up that now consists of three different families of models: Quattroporte, GranTurismo, GranCabrio. New Kia Sorento to be made in US
The all-new 2011 Sorento CUV is scheduled to begin rolling off the assembly line at Kia’s first U.S. plant – Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) in West Point, Georgia – later this year, and offers improved fuel economy and more passenger room and seating capacity than the previous model. Porsche Presents the new 911 GT3 RS
Porsche presents the new 911 GT3 RS, which will deliver more engine power, offer lower weight, and feature shorter transmission ratios as well as body and suspension elements upgraded to an even higher standard. The new 911 GT3 RS takes the racing version to the road. The engine featured in the new 911 GT3 RS delivers 15 bhp more than its counterpart in the 911 GT3, with a maximum output of 450 horsepower. Sales of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS are starting in Germany in January 2010.

Porsche Showcases History and Future as the Featured Marque of 36th Rolex Monterey Historics
At the 36th Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races, held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (August 14-16), the sound of the initial stirrings of over 450 race cars was complimented by the 2010 Porsche Panamera gran turismo, making its North American debut. In addition to the 145 Porsche racers already entered by their owners, or one-third of the 450-plus field, Porsche showcased the Panamera on the world-famous race track and also provided display vehicles on site, including four special cars with significant American connections, on loan from the new Porsche Museum in Germany. General Motors and Koenigsegg Group Sign Stock Purchase Agreement for the Sale of Saab Automobile AB
General Motors Co. confirmed it has signed a stock purchase agreement with Koenigsegg Group AB regarding the sale of 100% of the shares of Saab Automobile AB. The deal is expected to conclude in the next months and will then secure Saabs future. Saab Automobile plans to exit legal reorganization status shortly.
